Cocoa is not only one of the key ingredients of our world-renowned chocolate brands, but it is also central to the livelihoods of an estimated 350,000 cocoa farmers in the global cocoa supply chain. We depend on cocoa farming communities, and this drives us to continuously strive to for a responsible cocoa supply chain where human rights are respected, the environment is protected, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

To help achieve sustainable livelihoods for smallholder farmers, we buy cocoa for our Dove® Dark products (Dove® Dark Chocolate, Dove® Dark Almond Promises, Dove® Dark Peanut Butter Promises), that is independently verified as sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified* farms.

Through our suppliers, we’re also helping farmers to develop new skills and improve their incomes. In Indonesia, for example, cocoa coaching was given to over 20,000 farmers through a network of cocoa specialists.

The use of good agricultural practices helps farmers grow their business, while defining and piloting new models helps them diversify their crops and improve incomes.
